This year, Bucks Art Weeks (BAW) is going ahead after an enforced break last year due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Needless to say, local artists and makers are incredibly excited at the prospect of showcasing their work and meeting up with past, present and future customers!
For me here at thewobblypotter, this will be my second year displaying some of my wobbly efforts and I would really love to see people who have some of my pots and rainbows come to visit my stall for a chat and just to put names to faces! If anyone buys anything then of course that would be amazing but really my reasoning behind entering for BAW 2021 is to say a big thank you to the local community of Prestwood and Great Missenden for supporting my fledgling business through these very challenging times.
I will be sharing a venue with 5 other artists and makers so there will be lots of different work to look at – the venue is a marquee within the garden of a lovely lady, Nahrinda, who makes lovely crafty boxes and craft kits with a wonderfully shaker look. Her daughter Natalie will also be exhibiting. Natalie is a very versatile artist, creating stunning artwork , photography and beautiful pieces in resin. Deborah is a silverware jeweller and handmakes wonderful silver rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces in silver, copper and gemstones. Karen works in textiles and creates beautiful bags, teddies, cushions and other items using wonderful fabrics all very personal to her customers. Catherine’s exquisite work with glass is amazing and she creates pictures, tea light holders, dishes etc all made from fused glass with delicate countryside detail.
We will be showcasing our work at
Access is around the back of the house and into the garden – there are loads of signs!
I will be there from 11-4pm on the following dates:
I really look forward to seeing you there!
